Bavarian in its ancestry, German Style Marzens were brewed only from the end of September through April. They were then stored cold and the remainder served at Oktoberfest to celebrate the harvest and the beginning of the brewing season. Brown Ale
Brown
December - January
Holding true to the Northern English tradition, the Decadent Dark Chocolate Ale at its foundation has a nutty profile with a round mouth feel. Added is a Chocolate Extract consisting of three blended chocolates of varied depth. The result is a rich, but not overtly sweet experience for both the beer and the chocolate enthusiast.
Originating in 17th century England, Brown Ales were held most dear in Northern England after WWII. The Brown Ale influence could also be seen in some early American Colonial brewing. Malty nut flavors tend to be more prevalent in the Northern English style, whereas direct malty sweetness tends to lead in the southern English versions.
Inspiration behind artwork: Eccentric, wild, bold, everything that a chocolate beer should be.

Pale Ale

Year Round
This American Pale Ale is a respectful re-connection to the first beers released at the beginning of the craft beer renaissance in the United States. Moderate in body with the crisp piney finish of American hops. Relive the style that changed everything. American Pale Ales are cleaner, brighter more hoppy versions of the buttery English Classic. In a world of over-hopped beer, balance is the lost art in the style. These can vary widely from deep golden to rich amber.

Brewed in strict German tradition, Purple Gang Pilsner is a steady reminder of the German domination of brewing before and during Prohibition. A light malty sweetness yields to the fine flavor and aroma of the noble Tettnang hops.
