Inspiration behind artwork: Inspired by the oldest neighborhood in Detroit founded in 1834 by Irish immigrants that came over predominately from the county of Cork. The character of a train conductor represents one of the most beautiful and iconic buildings in Detroit, the Michigan Central Train Station.
